Australian Scholarships Foundation partners with leading educational and professional development organisations – such as the Australian Institute of Company Directors, CPA Australia and Kaplan Business School – to offer scholarships to people working in the non-profit sector. These opportunities build capability and allow the not-for-profit sector to thrive.
Scholarships are highly sought-after, with over 800 applications received for some opportunities. Managing these applications was becoming an increasingly overwhelming process, with outdated systems that were no longer fit for purpose. This resulted in a disjointed journey for applicants, who needed to create multiple profiles on separate systems at different stages of the process, and who were ultimately unable to download a copy of their own application.
Staff then needed to access multiple systems and compile applications into spreadsheets to be shared with the education partners who review and assess applications. Disconnected systems required extensive data-duplication, reports needed to be compiled manually, and reporting and metrics were not readily available.
The Australian Scholarships Foundation hope to expand the number and range of scholarships they offer, but their outdated systems couldn’t support their growth without substantially increasing the costs of administration. So, they asked AlphaSys to support their digital transformation, with the goals of improving efficiency and improving their database to improve relationships and better leverage their data.
